We Linux developers virtually created Internet programming, where most of our effort was accomplished online, but in those days everybody still used books and of course the Linux Documentation Project. I have a huge stack of UNIX and Linux books from the 1990's, and I even wrote a mini-HOWTO. There was no Google. People who used Linux back then may seem like wizards today because we had to memorize everything, or else waste time looking it up in a book. Today, even if I'm fairly certain I already know how to do something, I look it up with Google anyway. 2b1af7f3a8
